Therapy that is unique to you…
Jordan Day Weir (they/he),
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I don’t know what you’re going through. I don’t know the pain you’re in. It may be true that only you can understand that experience, but it isn’t true that you have to remain alone. As your therapist, I’m not trying to figure you out - I’m here to be with you, hear about you, and explore with you the parts of yourself and your story that might be too terrifying to explore in isolation. While I may not know everything about you, I know one thing for sure: you have exactly what you need, exactly what you’re searching for, somewhere inside you. What’s inside you is good; the monsters in the closet aren’t as horrible as they seem. You have the ability to heal, to see yourself as the beautiful person you are. Therapy is the process of uncovering what is blocking this ability from shining through. It is possible to reconnect to your life, though you may not believe it right now. Sometimes it takes a leap of faith to begin, and you’ve already taken the first step. Keep going. You’ve got this.
Why Meeting the Mystery?
Many things are profoundly mysterious to us. Life, death, change, other people, even ourselves. We like to ignore the mysterious, often preferring to stick to things we know, even if those things are harmful to us. We use limiting beliefs and old habits to feel safer. But often, ignoring or denying the mystery in life can lead to far more suffering than there has to be. We can become controlling, irritable, anxious, depressed, and many other things because we are expending energy trying to close ourselves off from the full experience of our lives and the inevitability of change. Meeting the Mystery means beginning the journey of coming into closer contact with your pain (past and present), your joy, your relationships, and most importantly your own heart.

Our Therapy Space
I offer in-person sessions at 179 Carlton Street on Mondays and Thursdays. I invite you to make the room as comfortable as you like: rearrange the pillows or the chairs, grab a blanket, admire our towering bird of paradise plant (her name is Diana), or even sit on the floor. This is a space that is open to you, your needs, and your creativity.
A note on accessibility: unfortunately, the office is stair-access only.
